Train the Trainer and Mentoring Program

Do you lead a team and understand your responsibility to manage psychosocial risks and support their mental wellbeing?

This Program will strengthen your leadership skills and bring out the best in your team. Facilitated by Thriving in Mining, the Train the Trainer Program will develop skills and practice in:

  • Understanding mental health and wellbeing, including the risks within the workplace.
  • Building a culture of trust and psychological safety within work teams.

  • Facilitating group communication and effective feedback.

  • Using the Thriving in Mining micro-lessons designed for use on site at pre-starts and toolbox sessions.
  • Plus, 12 months of free online mentoring for participants.

Training is free
  • Train the Trainer is currently being offered FREE for eligible applicants.
  • The value of the training and 12 months of mentoring is $6,500.

Who is eligible for the training?
  • OHS/WHS and Emergency Services managers, supervisors, advisors and superintendents
  • HR and learning and development staff
  • Frontline managers and supervisors
  • Camp managers
  • Other workers with designated responsibility for implementing strategies for better mental health and wellbeing in the workplace.
Program structure

Training is five days of face-to-face training followed by online mentoring for 12 months.

Where is the training?
  • The five-day training will take place at Aloft Perth.
  • Accommodation is available at the venue. Please contact Aloft directly for rates.

How does the mentoring work?

You will receive online mentoring support once a month for 12 months to assist with implementing the training within your team.
